VEDIC MATHEMATICS FOR BEGINNERS

The book entitled "Vedic Mathematics" was written by Swami Bharti Krisna Tirthaji, Shankaracharya of Puri contains sixteen mathematics formulae from Vedas. Here, we shall study a single step method for finding the decimal equivalent of the fraction 1/19 which is performed in 18 steps as follows:

The Vedic Mathematics way : by using the Sutra ekadhiken Purven which means "by one more than the previous one" and can be used when the denominator ends in 9.

In 1/19, the denominator is 19. The purven digit is 1. One more than 1 to 2. Now study the method carefully.
