Mr. S.N. Sharma, the author of this series of lessons on Vedic Mathematics, needs no introduction when it comes in education circles of CBSE, CISCE and other Boards. A well qualified educator with experience spanning more then 35 years has given his maximum to the proper structuring of teaching and learning mathematics, at St. Xavier's, Jaipur while conducting workshops in Vedic Mathematics for teachers, parents and students throughout the country.

He has been helping students of countries other than India, taking GCSE, O-Level, A-Level, I.B. courses.

Mr. Sharma, born on 4th November,1945, had a degree of wealth in his educational experience having completed his M.Sc and B.Ed. He joined St. Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Jaipur in August, 1968 and superannuated in March,2004 as Vice-Principal and Head of the Mathematics Department.

Apart from teaching, he was looking after the Academic Administration in the school as Vice Principal (Academic). Be it be planning for the classes I to XII including preparing syllabi to smooth conduct of examination. His innovative ideas in the field of academics were well appreciated and adopted by teachers and parents. Teaching has been a passion, sharing his knowledge with children has been an obsession for Mr. Sharma throughout his professional years. He is associated with many educational institutions as academic advisor and mathematics consultant.

Mr. S.N. Sharma, regarded as one of the best educators in CBSE, ISCE and other boards. By conducting numerous seminars for Teachers and Students alike, he has given great contribution to education methodology and Mathematics as a subject. With students all over the world and the amount of respect and recognition he has, he wants to share his experience and help teachers, students and parents. His tact's of imbibing innovative skills to education has brought a refreshing change. His life has been an everlasting saga of commitment and dedication to bring distinction in imparting education and the proper structuring of the teaching process.

Mr. S.N.Sharma has written over 60 books in school level mathematics, which are being used throughout the country as well as in Nepal, Bhutan, U.A.E., Singapore, Sri Lanka etc.

Mr.S.N.Sharma is a pioneer in establishing a Mathematics Laboratory under the able guidance of Rev.Fr.Richard Pereira S.J., at St.Xavier’s School,Jaipur in 1969. Since than, Mr.Sharma has established Mathematics Laboratories for numerous schools thought India. The basic concept of a Mathematics Laboratory is “ LEARNING BY DOING “
